A No. 22 Reactor's stunning VéloColour makeover
Galen Kennedy's VéloColour-painted Reactor is unlike any other No. 22 you will ever see.
The No. 22 Reactor paint job, completed by the Toronto-based custom painting shop that specializes in contemporary bicycle painting, was completed and ready to ride in spring of 2017. It still looks like new to this day.
Bike: No. 22 Reactor
Rider: Galen Kennedy
Paint job: VéloColour
Originally, Kennedy says he really wanted to do something bold in regards to the paint colour, like fuschia or neon, but chose to err on the side of letting the titanium speak for itself. So, he kept the colourway more subtle, but still quite flashy. He says the blue is what he had always envisioned and the yellow was added in to make it more vibrant.
To clean the Reactor, No. 22's most race-oriented bike, known for its stiffness, responsive handling and light weight, Kennedy says he uses a two-bucket system, which waxes and cleans the bike at the same time.

"It's the privateer bike," Kennedy explains. "Not all parts are the absolute highest-end but it's about a race bike that's super reliable but not ostentatiously 'blingy.'"
