Introducing Our Updated Drifter Lineup: Which is Right for You?

Jun 4, 2025

The newly updated 2025 Drifter lineup from No. 22 includes three distinct gravel models—each designed for a different kind of rider. Whether you're chasing podiums, exploring backroads, or heading out fully loaded for adventure, there's a Drifter that fits your ride style. This guide breaks down the Drifter X, Drifter, and Drifter Adventure to help you choose the right titanium companion for your gravel goals.

Introducing Our Updated Drifter Lineup: Which is Right for You?

The Drifter family represents a deliberate evolution of our approach to gravel riding. With three distinct models—each sharing the same core titanium craftsmanship but tailored for different riding styles—we aim to offer the perfect fit for every type of gravel cyclist. Whether your focus is speed, adventure, or versatility, one of the updated Drifter models will feel like it was made just for you.

The Drifter X: All-Road Efficiency with Gravel Capability

The Drifter X is designed for riders who spend much of their time on paved roads, but still want the option to venture onto light gravel. With tire clearance up to 42mm and geometry that balances responsiveness with comfort, the Drifter X is the ideal companion for fast-paced endurance rides, long road loops, and occasional off-pavement exploration. It offers the signature ride quality No. 22 is known for—light, crisp, and composed—making it particularly appealing to cyclists with a road background who are looking for a smoother, more versatile machine.

The Drifter: Built to Race, Ready for Anything

If your gravel ambitions include high speeds, tough terrain, and start-line nerves, the Drifter is your go-to. It’s our most race-focused gravel bike, now updated with suspension-corrected geometry, improved tire clearance, and a 3D-printed chainstay yoke for drivetrain compatibility and increased stiffness. The 2025 update introduces suspension-corrected geometry, allowing the Drifter to run either our rigid carbon fork or a short-travel suspension fork without compromising ride position or handling. This flexibility gives racers and hard-charging riders the option to tailor the bike for the demands of each course or event.

The Drifter clears up to 56mm tires with a 1X drivetrain, giving it the grip and compliance needed for today's challenging racecourses like Unbound or the BWR series. With aggressive handling and exceptional power transfer, the Drifter is built to go fast and respond instantly to rider input, without sacrificing the resilience and comfort of a titanium frame.

The Drifter Adventure: Purpose-Built for the Long Haul

For riders who are drawn to backcountry exploration, loaded touring, or multi-day bikepacking adventures, the Drifter Adventure offers unmatched versatility. This model features generous tire clearance (up to 52mm with a 1X drivetrain), extended reach and chainstays for stability under load, and multiple mounting points for bottles, bags, and gear. The geometry is designed to inspire confidence on mild singletrack and rough gravel, while the ride feel remains compliant and controlled even on those long days with a full payload. Whether you’re tackling remote doubletrack or planning your next overnight trip, the Drifter Adventure is equipped for the journey.

Finding the Right Fit

While each Drifter model serves a unique purpose, they all share the hallmarks of No. 22 design: titanium frames handcrafted in Upstate New York, thoughtfully updated geometry, UDH compatibility, and the option for fully internal cable routing. Every bike is available in stock or custom geometry, and we build each one to order in close consultation with our customers.
