Starting with the 2015 NAHBS-winning Broken Arrow as its foundation, the Drifter is a bike designed for riders needing a capable bike on any road. With generous clearance for up to 40mm tires front and rear, disc brakes with standard thru-axles and any-road capable geometry, the Drifter is the most versatile bike in our lineup.
Compared to the Broken Arrow cyclocross bike, the Drifter has a lower bottom bracket for improved road and gravel handling, along with a slightly longer wheelbase and quicker steering up front. The result is a bike with stable, balanced handling through high speed gravel corners, but with quick enough responses to be ridden aggressively on-road.Key features include:
Like all No. 22 frames, the true beauty of the Drifter lies in its details. The rear brake bridge contributes to the Drifter's 40mm of tire clearance. Optional hidden fender mounts are recessed into the underside of the bridge, out of sight when fenders aren't installed.
The Drifter's flat mount disc brakes allow for clean brake caliper mounting without the use of adapters. Complimenting these low-profile mounts is internal rear brake hose routing, with the brake hose exiting the chainstay just ahead of the brake caliper.
The cast titanium dropouts used on the Drifter offer a large weld surface for stiffness and durability, while paring away unnecessary material. The Drifter uses Syntace's excellent X-12 dropout interface which combines the safety of a replaceable rear hanger with the stiffness and shifting precision of a fixed hanger.
In addition to our standard "raw" finish, the Drifter is available in one of six anodized colours as a $300 option.
The Drifter is available in frame, frameset and complete configurations. Complete bikes are made to order, and build customization is welcomed. Please get in touch with any specific build requests.
