We're Hiring: Mechanic

Job Description:

No. 22 is looking for a mechanic to join the growing team of framebuilders in our Johnstown, NY production facility. A great candidate will be passionate about craftsmanship at the highest level, and will have previous bicycle assembly and mechanical experience.

The primary responsibilities of this position include assembling bicycles from a bare frame to a perfectly tuned, ready-to-ride condition, and then partially disassembling and packing for shipping to the final customer. Ancillary tasks will include but are not limited to: ordering parts for future builds and tracking inventory, photographing builds, workstation cleaning, and other opportunities in fabrication, machining, and other facets of the framebuilding process can be added to the role for the right candidate.

An ideal applicant will have demonstrated experience with assembling or working on boutique or custom bicycles, outstanding attention to detail and above all a pride in building bikes to the highest possible standards. The following skills will be helpful in the role:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a collaborative team
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous experience with the assembly or maintenance of high-end bicycles
• Up to date knowledge of all major groupsets and corresponding components
• Comfortable safely working with hand tools and light manufacturing equipment
• Interest in developing own skills and knowledge
